Highworth 5 road race.
Simon Fortnam was 6th in the Highworth 5 in 27.38. Fortnam, a former Highworth resident, used his good knowledge of the course to gain four places in the final hilly mile. The race was won by Simon Plummer of Woodford Green and Essex Ladies in 24.49, just 5 seconds outside the course record which has stood since 2000.
