Severn AC had eight runners competing in the Tewkesbury five mile road race on Sunday. Simon Fortnam continued his run of recent good form by taking seventh place in a seasons best time of 26.52. Austin Blackburn in 43rd came very close to breaking the 30 minute barrier with 30.05. Mark James (31.19) and Andy Brown (31.27) had a close battle in 66th and 68th. Further back there was an even closer finish between Jo Davis (36.33) in 172nd and John James (36.38) in 173rd. Emma Rawlings was 210th and Sandra Brown 258th.
