Autumn 5 mile road race

Josh Lilly was a runaway winner of the White Horse Autumn five mile road race.

The Severn AC runner secured the biggest winning margin in the 15 year old series of races in 24.39, his second quickest time.

Severn maintained their summer dominance of local road races as James Rose moved from seventh at halfway to fourth, just outside his PB.

Kyran Hale, 14, tackled five miles for the first time and set a course U15 record in seventh. Tenth man Ian Smith won the over 45s prize. Newcomer Andy Norman (13th) and Steve Bradley (15th) clinched the team title.

Further age group awards went to Derek Lightstone (V60) and Dave Blackburn (V65).
