Blaisdon Bluebell 10k
The race provided an excellent battle between two long time war horses of the county road race scene as Dennis Walmsley (Bourton) and Dave Lander (Severn) went head to head.
Walmsley, a race winner in 1992, was happy to let Lander lead early on before pulling clear to win in 34.37. Lander held on for second in 35.06 with Mike Smith (35.29) outsprinting Dave Greswell (35.30) for third place.
Tewkesbury surprised Severn to win the team race. Severn's other scorers were Steve Bradley (12th), Andy Brown (15th), Duncan Sargent (23rd), George Scully (24th) and John James (35th).
The women's race was won by Gloucester AC's Kim Drinkwater in 42.46. It was her first ever road victory and a PB.
Gloucester AC won the women's team race from Angels.
