Grocery 4 mile road race
Zac Kihara from Birchfield quickly outpaced the field to win in a new course record of 19.12, taking two seconds off James Thie's 2002 record.
His Birchfield team-mates filled the next four places and broke Severn's hold on the team race.
Severn had to be content with second placed team and age group winners. Alex Hope moved through the field in the second half to finish 10th and win the veterans 40 race by 16 seconds.
Gareth Howells was Severn's next runner home in 15th and he also won the U20 prize.
Andy Brown (22nd) continued his comeback from injury with his first Vet 50 win.
The other Severn scorers were Martin Cleverley (24th), Duncan Sargent (26th) and George Scully (28th).
Severn's other success was Tom Hoskins (30th) who won the under 17's prize.
Rachel Felton (Shaftsbury Barnet) hacked 14 seconds off Jo Brewer's course record while new club CLC Striders won their first ladies team event.
